Founder | President | Head Coach

Head Coach Moses, founder of Phoenix Muay Thai, has dedicated his life to martial arts, self-defense, and personal growth.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Moses began his formal martial arts journey in his early twenties through Taekwondo, where he developed a strong foundation in discipline, precision, and competitive structure. During this period, he actively competed and earned championship titles, further shaping his understanding of preparation, accountability, and performance under pressure.

He later expanded his training into Israeli Krav Maga, a combat-proven self-defense system focused on real-world application, situational awareness, and decisiveness. Seeking deeper technical development and a lifelong martial art, Moses transitioned fully into Muay Thai in 2010, where he has trained, competed, and coached consistently ever since.

His Muay Thai education includes exposure to traditional Thai training environments and Sitjaopho-style Muay Thai, known for its emphasis on fundamentals, pressure, balance, and efficient, repeatable technique. With over 15 years of Muay Thai training, competition, and coaching experience, Coach Moses continues to refine his craft through constant study, hands-on coaching, and a commitment to preserving the art while applying it in a structured, modern way. He believes great coaching is built on detail, consistency, and standards — not ego.

Beyond martial arts, Moses is a United States Marine Corps combat veteran, having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. His time in service forged an unshakable commitment to discipline, perseverance, and leadership. He is also a proud recipient of the Presidential Unit Citation, awarded for extraordinary heroism and teamwork during combat operations.

His mission is simple but uncompromising: to help others become the best version of themselves — physically, mentally, and spiritually. Through discipline, resilience, and honest work, he believes growth is earned, not given. In his philosophy, quitting is never an option — only learning, improving, and rising past limits.

At Phoenix Muay Thai, Coach Moses leads by example — setting the standard, preserving the art, and helping students rise through discipline, consistency, and purpose.

Phoenix Muay Thai was built with a clear purpose — to bring structured, authentic Muay Thai training to Carle Place and the surrounding Nassau County area.

This is not a gym built on trends, shortcuts, or watered-down classes. Every session is coach-led, structured, and designed with intent — whether you’re a beginner stepping onto the mats for the first time or an experienced fighter preparing for competition.

At Phoenix, we focus on developing real skill, discipline, and consistency. Our system emphasizes fundamentals, accountability, and progression so every member understands what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and how they’re improving.

Our coaching team brings years of experience in traditional Muay Thai and modern fight preparation. More importantly, we lead with standards. Every member is held to them, and every coach is responsible for maintaining them.

We train adults, beginners, and fighters in an environment built on respect, structure, and real development — not chaos, not guesswork.

If you’re looking for a Muay Thai gym in Carle Place Nassau County that prioritizes coaching, discipline, and results, you’re in the right place.
